Costs and Booking Information

The costs for private tours are Euro 65/hour for 1 adult, Euro 75/hour for 2 adults, Euro 95/hour for 3 adults, and Euro 100/hour for 4 adults.  For larger groups or rates with children, please inquire.

The hourly fee for private tours does not include entrance tickets, meals, or transportation if applicable. There is an additional service fee of Euro 25 for reserving tickets to the Forum, the Colosseum, the Vatican Museums, and/or the Borghese Gallery.  There is a euro 25 surcharge for reserving areas, which are usually off-limits to the general public (e.g. underground attractions like the Columbarium of Pomponius Hylas or Monte Testaccio).

Payment is made at the end of the visit in Euro or with a personal bank check.  If you use the latter option, I request that the exchange rate which my bank uses is applied to the dollar sum (it is a little higher than the “going” rate) and that you cover my bank’s handling fee (Euro 20).

Tour Duration

Daniella has designed her tours to provide a fun and informative experience.  Many tours last about four hours (e.g. the Campus Martius and the Forum/Colosseum Combo).  Others often last five hours, for example the Vatican and Ostia Antica.  If you prefer an abbreviated tour, I am more than happy to customize it for you.  There is, however, a minimum three-hour fee.  Longer visits will be charged at the rates listed above.

Customer Responsibility

When we finalize our plans and agree on a meeting place, you are then responsible for getting there on time.  Please be punctual. (I’m on the clock from the moment we agree to meet.)  If you need to reschedule or cancel, you may do so a week before the tour without being charged. Finally, customers who fail to show up will be billed for half the tour (calculating its average length).

Last Minute Changes

Jet-lag, contretemps, and the unexpected are all part of international travel.  After you arrive in Rome, you may find that you need to start later than you  thought; you or your group may prefer a visit different; or you may need to postpone a visit to a different day.  When possible, I am more than happy to accommodate changes.  As you plan, please keep in mind, however, that I may not be able to adjust my schedule to meet your needs.  If we are unable to reorganize an appointment, it will be treated as a last-minute cancellation (see Customer Responsibility above).

Book Your Private Tour in Advance

Send Daniella an email with the day(s), time(s), and tour(s) that you’re interested in.

To book a tour, you must reserve it with a $25 deposit and prepay any entrance fees.  (Entrance fees are generally listed at the end of each tour description.)
